There's no way it's been that long! Maybe a lot of things have been going on, but that's just plain old neglect! :P So what have I been doing? Hmmm... Had a fun cold for about two weeks. It's gone now, thank goodness, and none of the boys picked it up. Yay! Mikala did for 2 days, but for some reason it just kicked my fanny. I finally finished kit #2 and took pics. I will post them in their own album a little later in the day. Started training for my new job that officially starts Oct. 20th. Can't wait for that!
It will be so much fun to work with friends doing something I love to do. It's a brand new salon and I can't wait to make my mark there. Lots of exciting ideas and thoughts about it, but none that I can expound on quite yet... Went to a scrapping party, had a Christmas card class at my house. Mikala's had a ton of swim meets. She started competing in the 100 butterfly because her coach told her she was born to swim it. And both coaches could care less that she hates doing it. I think that is hilarious! She swims it anyway, and puts her heart into it. Fun to see her involved in something she's so good at. If she keeps swimming, she's going to be a threat next season! She's still in 8th grade but on the varsity squad - and I think she's trying even harder because she is... Matthew and Brett keep me busy.
Both are growing and learning at crazy speeds. Brett finally popped those bottom i-teeth through and has been a lot happier. Boots and Bernice were both fixed at the same time so they can come in the main part of the house now.
Been going on walks with the boys and sometimes meeting Lynda and the kids at the park. Taking tons of pics of them outside before it gets too chilly and I am working 40 hours in 4 days. Getting ready for Halloween. Thinking about it, anyway! Matthew said he wants to be Batman and Brett can be his side-kick. That's funny! When the lady at the grocery store asked him what he was going to be for Halloween, he said a costume. Goof! And he tells everyone he meets that he can ride his bike with no training wheels, that he can ride with just one hand, and that he now has a kickstand on his bike. He's so proud of himself! Cutie. Braided Mikala's hair into a star shape for a crazy dress
day at school during Homecoming week. That was an interesting challenge. Having scrap night this Friday with a couple of ladies. Just some quiet time to catch up on fun kits from ScarletLime.com (my FAVORITE!). Still trying to lose weight. Maybe it's more mental than anything? I keep thinking that I want to start running, but then I don't do it. I think I want to go to the gym, but then I don't make it there. At least I take walks with the boys. And maybe things will change a little bit once I start
working. Being on my feet 10 hours a day instead of sitting on my backside... Should be interesting! :) I may have the chance to start teaching up-do classes and I have written maybe 15 hair articles in the last month and a half. FUN!
Love getting to write about something I am interested in. And I always learn something new myself.
Can't think of much else that's been going on. Mostly domestic stuff, Jeremy working, Mikala at school, church stuff... Just normal everyday living stuff.
So that's it! I will add pics of the boys to the regular photo album and pics of the scrap kit in their own album later.
Cathi-love!
Good to hear things are going so well. Glad you finally updated! Love ya!
